Land is permanent, man disappears
Environment Bay of Plenty assists Bay of Plenty communities in appropriate land use issues as well as provides advice on pest control techniques.
Why is land so important?
Our land is a non-renewable resource, therefore we need to protect it and use it wisely. It is also home to native wildlife and plants, so our land (their habitat) needs to be protected to ensure their survival. We need to understand the land to use it in a sustainable manner.
Within the Environment Bay of Plenty’s land section you will find information relating to:
Bay of Plenty land
Pest animals
Pest plants
Plans relating to land
Soil conservation
Transport
Waste
