The Operative Bay of Plenty Transitional Regional Plan, including Plan Change No. 1, brings together any relevant resource management provisions that existed prior to the Resource Management Act 1991.
These are transitional provisions and over time will be superseded by regulations in relevant regional plans, or other mechanisms (e.g. river and drainage bylaws). Readers are advised to consult Environment Bay of Plenty staff to determine whether the requirements of the plan are applicable to their activity.
The Transitional Plan will be withdrawn once the Regional Water and Land Plan becomes operative.
